The United Church of Christ is an open and affirmative Christian faith.  I have attended several of their churches. What I like most about this denomination is that ALL are welcome, without regard to any preconceived ideas about who is allowed or worthy to be a Christian.  That is at the heart of Christianity.  It is about what Jesus claimed as the "first and greatest commandment", loving God with all your heart and, secondly, loving your neighbor as yourself.  This church seems to live by that philosophy.

The Metropolitan Community Church is a gay oriented Christian faith.  I have attended many of these and, like all other denominations, found them to vary in the degree of spituality.  The Church in Los Angeles, CA was a very spiritual church, so much so that I chose to have my son baptised there.  MCC provides a very effective argument in support of the spiritual acceptance in Homosexuality and the Bible.

The one thing that has always bothered me about the MCC churches is their use of all-inclusive language.  They will not refer to God as Father.  Instead they neuter Him and will manytimes refer to Him as Creator, or on occasion, She.  The use of the term Father in the Christian teachings was never meant to be sexist.

Religous Tolerance is an excellent resource out of Canada.  (I love the Canadians!!  When was the last time they "Liberated" another country?)  You may find the section What the Bible Says About Homosexuality to be of particular interest.

A song by Sigur Ros, "viðrar vel til loftárása".  To me, this video exemplifies what the false Christians stand for.  Their intolerance and deep hatred outweighs the love for their own children.  While my son is straight, there is nothing that could ever change my love for him.  NOTHING.
