What does it mean to be a false Christian?
First of all, Christianity is not about hatred, judgement, bigotry or self-righteousness. Christianity is about loving one another. It is about compassion. Accepting Christ is a pre-requisite for becoming a Christian. Showing your love for others through your works and deeds is what makes you a true Christian.
There is no God of hate and exclusion as many Baptists would like you to believe. God did not set Florida on fire or kill US soldiers in Iraq because of homosexuals, liberal judges, prostitutes or any other absurd reason. God would not have threatened to kill a televangelist if he did not receive $6 million in donations. Killing abortion doctors is still against the 6th Commandment "Thou shalt not kill".
Those who profess this type of theology are simply false Christians. Much like other extremist religions, radical Christians are just as dangerous. They commit the ultimate sin, that of turning people away from christ.
What follows are the foundations for which true Christianity is built:
36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
Remember this:
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
This means YOU. There are no clauses, fine print or exceptions. It does not say "unless" you are a homosexual, a liar, an adulterer, a thief, or anything else. It means EVERYONE!
